TradingView alerts are immediate notifications when the market meets your custom criteria. For example, “Alert me when Blue Sky Day No Repaint generates a new signal”. All users can get visual popups, audio signals, email alerts, and email-to-SMS alerts. A Premium plan holder can additionally get real-time server-side text message (SMS) alerts, delivered directly to his / her phone..

Here’s a wonderful step-by-step “How-to-do” tutorial about setting up alerts with Blue Sky Day No Repaint indicator:

Know some Basics First –

ALERTS FUNCTIONS

• Trigger Condition, which determines when the alert appears.
• Frequency – you can set whether an alert will be triggered only once or multiple times.
• Timer which will automatically stop the alert. Alert will be automatically turned off when the Timer expiration setting is reached.
• A Message that will be shown when the alert is triggered.

ALERTS ACTIONS

The following options are available to you so that you can be notified about your alerts as soon as they are generated:

• Show Popup – a pop-up message will appear once an alert is triggered. If this option is enabled, a pop-up message will appear, even if you are browsing in another tab (for this feature to work properly, please allow TradingView to show desktop notifications).
• Play Sound – once an alert is triggered, you will hear a sound.
• Send Email – an email will be sent to you when an alert is triggered. We will use the email address in your TradingView profile.
• Send Email-to-SMS – use this option to receive notifications on your phone. Email-to-SMS is the easiest and absolutely free way to send text messages (SMS) from the internet to phones. This site aims to be the most complete and up-to-date list of email addresses that can be used to send text messages to phones.
• Send SMS – this is a premium feature that allows you to receive SMS directly to your phone, once an alert is triggered. Please note that alerts are sent as a single SMS. Your message will be shortened if it exceeds the SMS character limit. There is a monthly limit of 500 SMS.

 STEP 1: 

In your chart page, you need to click on "Invite-only scripts". Refer to the image given below

STEP 2:

Now, click Right and there you will see this :

STEP 3:

Upon selecting the first option, below dialog-bar will appear on the screen.

This is where we actually “set-up” the alerts!

STEP 4:

Now, you’ll need to choose any one of the options; in order to set alert for buying(LONG) opportunities, choose “Long Signal”.

And for shorting(SELL), choose “Short Signal”.

STEP 5:

Here comes the important part:

Choosing when you want the alert to get triggered!

There are 4 options available, know which these are:

1. Only Once: The alert will only trigger once and will not be repeated (depends upon the expiration time you choose).
2. Once Per Bar: The alert will trigger every time the condition is met, but not more than 1 time per bar. (depends upon the expiration time you choose).
3. Once Per Bar Close: The alert will trigger every time the condition is met at bar close. (depends upon the expiration time you choose).
4. Once Per Minute: The alert will trigger every time the condition is met, but not
5. more than 1 time per minute.

Here, with “Blue Sky Day No Repaint Strategy”, we have to choose the 3rd option “Once Per Bar Close”

Finally, we are done with setting up alerts with our indicator!
